The UFC will hold their second ever fan expo next weekend at UFC 114 in Las Vegas. Thursday they announced plans to hold the company’s third fan expo this August when they will debut in Boston, Massachusetts at UFC 118. UFC President Dana White made the announcement in a press release.

“I think everyone knows how much it means to me to bring the UFC to Boston and to give fans this two-day event packed with amazing UFC experiences,” said UFC president Dana White.

UFC 118 will be highlighted by BJ Penn facing Frankie Edgar in a rematch for the UFC Lightweight championship. UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture will also be on the card. He’ll fight former boxer James Toney in Toney’s MMA debut.

Earlier this year, the state of Massachusetts officially opened its door to the UFC with the passage of legislation that sanctions and regulates the sport. UFC 118 is the first major MMA show to touch down in the state, though the Korea-based Moosin is slated to hold a pay-per-view event, “Moosin: God of Martial Arts,” on Saturday in Worcester, Mass.

The first UFC Fan Expo, which is operated in partnership with Reed Exhibitions, featured 200,000 square feet with special events, fighter appearances, autograph signings, and training and develop sessions. Retail and exhibition spots included apparel, electronic gaming, food and beverages, fight gear, fitness equipment and supplies, nutritional supplements, lifestyle products and more.

The initial Expo drew an estimated 30,000 to 50,000 attendees, according to White.
