Injury is the only thing that could slow Jimenez down at this point.
In Thursday game against Houston, Jimenez took a big swing in the top of the 7th inning and pulled up lame on an infield single when Pedro Feliz bobbled the ball.
Jimenez went out for the bottom of the 7th and got out of the inning easily, including a strikeout. After the inning Jimenez was removed from the game despite giving up only 1 hit and throwing only 92 pitches.
The injury is thought to be a minor one, and the team hasn’t commented on the exact nature of the injury.
