The first-ever major pay-per-view Massachusetts MMA event is one step closer to reality with weigh-ins officially complete for tonight’s “Moosin MMA: God of Martial Arts” event.
The event, which features several fighters familiar to MMA fans, will take place at the DCU Center in Worcester and airs on pay-per-view for $29.95.
Headliner and former UFC champion Tim Sylvia weighed 305 pounds for his super-heavyweight bout with five-time World’s Strongest Man champion Mariusz Pudzianowski, who weighed 273 pounds. That is a far cry from Sylvia’s days in the UFC and their heavyweight division.
