Tim Sylvia was able to overcome and beat the world’s strongest man last night in Massachusetts. Sylvia (26-6) has now won two fights in a row after dropping three straight fights to Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Fedor Emelianenko, and Ray Mercer.
Sylvia was able to make Pudzianowski tap out due to strikes in the second round. The Polish strongman had promised a victory to his countrymen but wasn’t able to deliver. It’s hard to imagine him going any further in the sport after being stopped by a very heavy, out of shape Sylvia.
Sylvia proclaimed, “I’m back” after the fight, but he is hardly in any position to challenge any top contenders in either the UFC or Strikeforce.
