TNA is looking into getting long-time ring announcer Gary Cappetta, whose career dates back to WWWF television in the 1970s. Cappetta has done a few dates for ROH but has not worked full-time in the business since leaving WCW and is now working as a Spanish teacher at a high school.
Former ring announcer David Penzer was let go due more to backstage heat than to cost-cutting measures. Jeremy Borash is being used as a full-time ring announcer for the time being.
