In the infamous 2005 MLB testimony before Congress, Sosa said he had never taken performance enhancing drugs.
However, last year when a few names from a list of player who tested positive for steroids in 2003 was leaked, Sosa’s name was reportedly on the list.
At that time the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform said they would look into Sosa’s statements and decide whether or not to press charges against Sosa.
The committee came out Thursday and said they will not be asking the Justice Department to bring charges against Sosa.
