NFL News: Indianapolis Colts DE Robert Mathis In Search Of New Deal

News

Mathis is another player in the AFC South looking for a new contract.

Mathis has been missing Colts VOTAs and sources say it’s because he’s unhappy with his current deal. Mathis has two years and $4.7 million left on his $30 million deal he signed in 2006.

Mathis had 9.5 sacks last year, second on the team behind Dwight Freeney.

While the Colts would love to get Mathis back in camp and under a contract, he might not be the top priority right now as the Colts would also love to re-sign QB Peyton Manning to a new deal as his expires at the end of the coming year.
