Rough way to end a great day for Morales.
The Angels and Mariners were tied at 1 in the tenth inning when Kendry Morales stepped to the plate. Morales drilled a pitch deep to center field off the rocks for a walk-off grand slam.
When he got to the plate, he took a huge leap to emphatically land on the plate, only problem was, he didn’t land right and broke his leg as his teammates mobbed him in celebration. They quickly realized something was wrong and called for the trainer.
Morales had to be carted off the field and is likely done for the year.
