New Trailer for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

News, Trailers

Okay so the first trailer for Scott Pilgrim debuted back in March. Since then, director Edgar Wright was been Twittering away that a second trailer would be released once the Facebook fan page for the movie reached 100,000 fans. It may have taken over two months to reach that total but thank goodness to that mystery person who clicked “like” to be number 100,000, because now the trailer is available. The movie looks totally off the wall, but this is to be expected for the director of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. Having never read the comic from which Scott Pilgrim is based, I can only go on the assumption that Wright has faithfully got the tone and look of the comic. This totally looks like a movie for people who love comics, video games, and just fun movies, in general. You know the cast of The Big Bang Theory would be all over this. So I was wrong about MacGruber possibly being a summer sleeper. Scott Pilgrim may be the movie that expands beyond its niche audience. May Elizabeth Winstead looking sexy as hell in black Lingerie couldn’t hurt its performance.
