NFL News: St. Louis Rams Safety OJ Atogwe Now A Free Agent

News

The Rams needed to retender an offer to Atogwe for $6.9 million, an offer they weren’t willing to pay him after an injury shortened 2009 season.

The Rams are still hoping to re-sign Atogwe, they’re just hoping the price tag comes down after a shoulder injury and hernia surgery.

Despite playing a shortened season, Atogwe still recorded 74 tackles, three forced fumbles, two INTs and a sack in 12 games. Atogwe, who will turn 29 this month, has 19 interceptions in his five-year NFL career.

The Vikings, Dolphins, and Cowboys may also show interest in the Safety.
