WWE star Chris Jericho noted a few days ago on Twitter he was waiting for some major news to come through and it did tonight, as Hollywood Reporter noted that Jericho has been hired as the host of a new game show that will air on ABC.
Jericho will host the debuting game show “Downfall” starting on Tuesday June 22. The series will feature contestants trying to answer questions while on the roof of a Los Angeles high-rise.
Meanwhile, according to Hollywood Reporter, “the largest conveyor belt ever seen on TV” will send potential winnings (cash and prizes), the player’s personal possessions and even friends and family over the side of the building. Jericho will ask players questions and tempt them with various alternative options throughout the game.
The show will have Wipeout as a lead-in.

The series will follow the popular game show “Wipeout” for an initial six episode series.
