NCAA News: USC Faces 2 Year Postseason Ban For NCAA Infractions

The NCAA notified the school Wednesday and the school is expected to respond sometime Thursday.

Along with the postseason ban, USC’s football program will have it’s scholarships cut by 20 and will have to forfeit wins from the 2004 season and possibly other seasons.

All this comes as the result of an investigation by the NCAA into the school football and basketball programs. USC has already admitted wrongdoing in its basketball program, self sactioning themselves, vacating all wins from 2007-2008.

No BCS school has faced postseason ban’s in the last 7 years, but sources say the NCAA wanted to make an example out of USC which has been one of the top schools in the country.
