Pulse Wrestling Report: WWE Superstars, 06.10.2010 – Kofi Kingston, SES, and the NXT Invasion

Reviews, Shows, Top Story, TV Shows

First we see the reunion of a popular ECW tag team in Goldust and Yoshi Tatsu. Also a look back at the great NXT invasion of Raw followed by a main event of Kofi Kingston vs Luke Gallows.

1. Alicia Fox vs Gail Kim
– This match is built around what happened during the Divas battle royal where they eliminated each other. Every time Alicia takes a bump it looks painful as hell. They beat the crap out of each other with kicks and back breakers while the announcers talk about the NXT angle from Monday. Alicia win the match after hitting a scissors kick while Gail was draped on the ropes.
Winner: Alicia Fox

2. Zach Ryder and Primo vs YoshiTatsu and Goldust
– Good to see the former popular tag team Yoshi/Goldust from ECW reunited. Primo/Ryder is a weird team but could work. Yoshi and Goldust were at one time the number 1 contenders for the tag belts back in the ECW. After some back and forth action, Yoshi misses a splash to the outside and we go to Commercial. As we come back from commercial, Yoshi is still taking a beating. Yoshi hits a nice spin kick and is able to tag in Goldust. Goldust is on fire until he gets distracted by Primo. Ryder hits the Ruff Ryder on Goldust for the win.
Winners: Zach Ryder and Primo

Replay of the NXT invasion on Raw is shown.  This was pretty outstanding and I’m glad they continued it on the FCW house show on Wednesday with Slater/Daniel Bryan beating Miz/Christian. Speaking of FCW, I’m going to a house show on Friday and I’ll be doing a report on it probably Friday Night/Saturday.

3. Kofi Kingston vs Luke Gallows
– Kofi is with his NXT Rookie Michael McGuilicutty(Joe Hennig).  Kofi takes control early with a pretty nice splash to the outside just before a commercial break. Luke never really had a chance as he was selling his attack from Monday but he did try some. Kofi wins with the SOS.
Winner: Kofi Kingston

Final Thoughts: Not a great episode of Superstars. The tag match was fun and it was great to see Yoshi on TV.
