ROH News: More Talent Signed for Illinois Shows, New Toronto Gauntlet Entrant, Tyler Black vs. Davey Richards, and more

The following news items were posted on the June 9th edition of the ROH Newswire:

The following wrestlers have been confirmed this week for ROH’s shows in Collinsville, IL (July 23rd) and Chicago Ridge, IL (July 24th): Jerry Lynn, Kevin Steen, Austin Aries, Claudio Castagnoli, Necro Butcher, Erick Stevens, and Eddie Edwards. Recall that Generation Me (formerly known as the Young Bucks) and Amazing Kong have been confirmed for these events as well.

Shawn Daivari will be the fifth entrant in the second annual Toronto Gauntlet, at “Death Before Dishonor VIII” on June 19th. Other entrants include Colt Cabana, Steve Corino, Eddie Edwards, and Roderick Strong. One participant remains to be announced. Daivari and Cabana are also wrestling each other the previous night in Buffalo.

ROH is running a promotion that allows fans to voice their opinion on who will win the ROH World Title match between Tyler Black and Davey Richards. Details below:

Davey or Tyler? Recently at our ROH on HDNet TV tapings we took our cameras out to you the fans to get opinions on who will win the title match at ‘Death Before Dishonor VIII’. Now it’s your chance to do the same online via YouTube. Record your prediction in 60 seconds or less of who will win the match and why. Post the video on YouTube with title “Richards vs. Black Prediction – (your name)”. Use the annotations feature on YouTube to link to the Davey/Tyler “In Their Own Words” video, and email your submission to us at ROHFansVoice@gmail.com. Use your creativity to not only voice your opinion but to get our attention because the most creative fan will receive a three-pack of Ring of Honor DVDs. The winner of the contest will be released on our Twitter page on June 19 from Toronto! You’ve got ten days to let your voice be heard!!

ROH continues to wait approval from Kentucky’s State Athletic Commission for the “Bluegrass Brawl” on June 22nd. Once it gets the go-ahead, it’ll release the talent roster.
