NFL News: Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson Back In Tennessee

News

For a kid’s camp he runs, not for anything related to the Titans.

Johnson continues to talk like a player ready to hold out and the Titans keep talking like a team that’s not going to pay him.

Johnson is one of the lowest paid starting RBs in the league, scheduled to make $550,000 this year in the 3rd year of his rookie contract.

Johnson was the offensive player of the year last year when he became the 6th player in NFL history to rush for 2000 yards in a season. Johnson hoped to use the outstanding year as leverage when he asked to become the highest paid offensive player in the league.

Johnson didn’t comment on his contract at the kids camp, but went to twitter to announce his displeasure with the team.

“I’m feeling lk [at]Revis24 rt now at least dey offering him something dey not offering me nothing.”

“How do u wnt player 2 honor their contract but the team dont have 2 honor it. If u dont wnt 2 pay a player early dont cut a player early.”

“Its like how u expect ur players to give they all and put their bodies on the line when you not willing to give them what they deserve.”

I’ll forgive his grammar since he was limited to 140 characters on twitter. And I often butcher the language…

Titans training camp begins July 31st.
