Amazing Spider-Man To Come Out Twice Monthly With A Full Time Writer?

News

Since the launch of Brand New Day, Amazing Spider-Man has shipped three times monthly with rotating creative teams. Writers like Joe Kelly, Zeb Wells, Mark Waid, Dan Slott, Marc Guggenheim, Bob Gale, and Fred Van Lente have managed to leave their various marks on the character over the course of the past two and a half years.

Except for now, Bleedingcool is reporting that it’s all about to change. That Marvel is going to cut down from three issues a month to two, and give Dan Slott the go ahead as the full time writer moving forward. He’s already one of the leading writers on the book, penning the initial Brand New Day story arc and coming back for more ever since.

I can’t speak for when this would happen, if it does, but I would assume at the beginning of 2011, at the three year anniversary for Brand New Day.
