Back in April we told you that Leonardo DiCaprio was in talks to team up with Clint Eastwood on a project about FBI founder J. Edgar hoover. Latino Review is now confirming that DiCaprio will indeed be starring as Hoover in Eastwood’s untitled project.
The movie will begin production later this year. Dustin Lance Black (Milk) wrote the script and Brian Grazer and Rob Lorenz are producing.
The Pulse: Leo as Hoover? Really? I don’t know how much control Eastwood had over casting, but if this was his decision then I’m starting to lose respect for him (Invictus doesn’t help much, either). Try as I might, I can’t understand DiCaprio’s popularity, and his involvement kills what little interest I had in the movie. But what do you think? Am I being too hard on the actor? What do others see that I don’t? Help me out here.
