WWE Smackdown Spoilers for 6/25 with Matt Hardy vs. Drew McIntyre and Kane vs. CM Punk

News, Spoilers, Top Story

Teddy Long and Vickie Guerrero open the show by noting Rey Mysterio is champion and will defend at Money in the Bank. They will evaluate 8 superstars to put in the Money in the Bank match at the PPV. Teddy has full GM Power with Vince McMahon incapacitated due to the NXT Rookies attack on Raw. Drew McIntyre comes out, and Teddy Long informs him Matt Hardy is reinstated and will face Drew tonight!

Damn that’s a lot from one promo. Looks like Smackdown is serious about their angles finally.

Big Show defeats Jack Swagger via disqualification when he wouldn’t break an ankle lock. Swagger says he’s utilizing his rematch clause for the title at MITB PPV.

Rey vs. Swagger should be really good.

Christian, MVP and Kofi Kingston defeat Dolph Ziggler, Curt Hawkins and Vance Archer when Christian pinned Ziggler.

This sounds like it could be a really fun match.

Matt Hardy defeats Drew McIntyre clean with a twist of fate. After the match, Teddy Long announces Drew’s visa is up and he will be deported.

Well, they’re going to have some doing to work their way out of this one.

Cody Rhodes is out with Husky Harris and Cody cuts a promo about how good looking he is. He’s now “Dashing” Cody Rhodes.

This could work. He does come off as a cocky prick. Who would have ever thought Dusty’s kid would get Rick Rude’s gimmick?

Kelly Kelly defeats Rosa Mendez. She and Tiffany have words with LayCool.

LayCool will likely save this, as usual.

A hype video airs for Alberto Del Rio (Dos Caras Jr. without the mask), who is now a wealthy, upper class Mexican.

If he gets the heat he has in his dark matches, fine.

Kane vs. CM Punk goes to a no contest. They brawled everywhere, with Kane taking out SES and Punk running out of the arena to escape.

This sounds like a hot angle and was said to be pretty wild. See, it works when you don’t do this stuff every week!
