NBA News: New Orleans Hornets Guard Chris Paul Open To Trade

The rumors started yesterday, and Paul would be reportedly be open to a trade.

The Hornets are in finacial turmoil, and Paul is the biggest contract on the team, but also the most lucrative trade option.

Paul said he just wants to win and woul be open to moving to another team in the Hornets aren’t commited to building a winner. “My first choice is to be in New Orleans,” Paul said in a telephone interview with ESPN. “I just want to make sure we’re committed to winning. If we’re not committed to winning and trying to get better so we can contend with the Lakers, the Celtics and all these other top teams, then I’m open to being traded.”

GM Jeff Bower denied reports that he is shopping Paul, but admitted that he’s had conversations with other teams about all his players.
