MMA Junkie is reporting that Strikeforce/M-1 Global’s Fedor vs. Werdum draw a live crowd of 11,575 with a gate of $1,o66,739, with the following fighter salaries having been announced by the California State Athletic Commission:
Fabricio Werdum: $100,000 defeated Fedor Emelianenko: $400,000
Cung Le: $100,000 defeated Scott Smith: $55,000
Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos: $35,000 (includes $15,000 win bonus and $5,000 champion bonus) defeated Jan Finney: $6,000
Josh Thomson: $60,000 defeated Pat Healy: $8,000
Chris Cope: $3,000 ($1,000 win bonus) defeated Ron Keslar: $1,500
Bret Bergmark: $3,000 ($1,500 win bonus) defeated Vagner Rocha: $2,500
Yancey Medeiros: $8,000 ($4,000 win bonus) defeated Gareth Joseph: $2,000
Bobby Stack: $2,800 ($1,500 win bonus) defeated Derrick Burnsed: $2,000
This is a total payroll of $789,000. As always its important to note that these are only the base salaries reported to the Commission so additional income (including money from sponsors) is not included.
The Commission has also announced that the following five fighters recieved medical suspensions due to injuries sustained during their fights:
Women’s 145 Ibs title challenger Jan Finney suffered an orbital fracture and lacerations to the right and left side of the face, and is suspended for 180days.
Scott Smith is suspended for 60 days due to facial lacerations.
Josh Thomson suffered a rib injury during his victory over Pat Healy and is suspended for 180 days.
Pre-Lim fighters Ron Keslar and Gareth Joseph were both suspended for 45 days after KO losses.
All fighters will need to be cleared by a physician before fighting again, and will be restricted from contact for 30 days.
