Tyson Griffin Replaces Joe Stevenson in Fight with Takanori Gomi at UFC on Versus 2

Due to a knee injury suffered by Joe Stevenson in preparation for his fight with Takanori Gomi at UFC on Versus 2, Tyson Griffin has now signed to step in to face Gomi next month. The news was confirmed earlier today in a report at MMAJunkie and was later confirmed by an UFC executive that the fight will remain on the main card/televised portion of the event. UFC on Versus 2 takes place Aug. 1 at the San Diego Sports Arena in California and features Jon Jones vs. Vladimir Matyushenko light-heavyweight main event.
