Mark Millar Talks About Superior

News

Apparently Mark Millar was the guest editor for the new issue of Wizard and spent a good deal of time promoting various projects of his.

Not the least of which is a new super hero title that he is creating alongside Leinil Yu which will be called Superior. Of which he says

Superior is in a lot of ways is the project I’ve wanted to write my entire life. It’s everything I love about those big bombastic kind of Superman/Captain Marvel heroes.

He’s calling Superior a Marvelized version of Superman, in part because he’s come to the realization that he will most likely never write the actual Superman comic (at least not in continuity). The main character is a thirteen year old boy with multiple sclerosis who becomes an adult super hero, like a more uber version of DC’s Captain Marvel. His arch enemy will be Abraxas, who Millar describes as “Darkseid Meets Brainiac Meets Dark Vader.”
