Talking to MMA Junkie Dana White confirmed that Cain Velasquez would face the winner of UFC 116’s world heavyweight title unification fight between Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin. Dana White said that “Cain fights the winner of this fight, probably as soon as possible…Cain’s been waiting a long time.”
No one could dispute that Velasquez is deserving of a world title shot, and his combination of superior kickboxing and wrestling means that he will prove a fearsome test for whoever emerges as world champion on Saturday.
