NHL News: Chicago Blackhawks Trade Andrew Ladd To Atlanta Thrashers

The fire sale continues.

The Blackhawks traded Andrew Ladd to the Thrashers for Ivan Vishnevskiy and a second round draft pick next year.

“I kind of knew it was coming,” Ladd told ESPN 1000. “Obviously, you want to stay where you just won the Stanley Cup, but at the same time, I’m going to a team with a lot of familiar faces.”

Ladd will be joining former Blackhawks Dustin Byfuglien, Ben Eager, and Brett Sopel were traded to the Thrashers earlier this offseason. The Hawks have also trade Colin Fraser and Kris Versteeg off of the Stanley Cup Championship roster.
