NBA News: Kevin Durant Agrees To Extension With Oklahoma City Thunder

News

On a busy day in free agency, Durant delays his entrance into free agency.

Durant tweeted that he has signed an extension that will keep in him OKC until the summer of 2016. The deal will pay Durant approximately $86 million over 5 years. The deal will kick in after next season, when he will make $5 million in the last year of his rookie contract.

“Kevin wanted to make this commitment to the Thunder because he and his family are very appreciative of the commitment that the Thunder have made to him,” Durant’s agent Aaron Goodwin said.

The team hasn’t confirmed the deal.
