John Molina Mounts Comeback, Stops Henry Lundy

Results

John Molina Jr was being outboxed for eight rounds as Henry Lundy used his speed to control the early portion of the fight and rack up the rounds. Then, Molina managed to drop Lundy in the eighth with a right hook out of nowhere. Lundy made the count but wasn’t the same fighter for the remaining rounds. Lundy began to slug more with Molina, showing the tough Philly side of himself, abandoning the quick feet and hands that proved to be the key from the beginning. Molina backed Lundy against the ropes in the 11th and unloaded a barrage of punches that went unanswered by Lundy. Lundy sagged a bit against the ropes after a combo from Molina and that was enough for the referee as he called a stop to the fight, giving Molina a dramatic comeback TKO victory. Lundy suffered his first professional loss, falling to 18-1-1, 10 KOs. Molina improved to 21-1, 17 KOs with the win.

On the undercard, Vladine Biosse defeated Joey McCreedy by unanimous decision in an exciting eight-round super middleweight brawl.
