Thunder Cats Co-Creator’s Roommate Charged With First Degree Murder

Following up on the ongoing tragedy that was the life and murder of Thunder Cat’s co-creater Stephen “Steve” Perry, ABC Action news in Tampa reports that:

On the 50th day of an investigation into the death of cartoon writer Steve Perry, the Zephyrhills Police Department have arrested his roommate, James W. Davis, for murder in the first degree.

Zephyrhills Police Detective Robert McKinney said the motive was unclear, but that it may have been related to drugs or money.

Davis and his wife, Roxanne, lived with Perry in Zephyrhills, and both were named as people of interest in the case in May. Roxanne has not been charged in the murder.

This news follows reports of additional body parts surfacing after the earlier discovery of Perry’s bloody van and a severed arm. His married roommates had been arrested on unrelated charges, but now James Davis has been charged with the premeditated murder of Steve Perry.
