NFL News: Pittsburgh Steelers Sign Mike Tomlin To Three-Year-Extension

News

The team missed the playoffs last year, but Tomlin still got an extension.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported Tuesday morning that Tomlin and the Steelers had agreed to a 3-year extension, finacial terms weren’t reported by the paper.

Tomlin lead the Steelers to a Super Bowl Championship in just his second season as coach and currently had 1 year left on his contract.

The extension will continue the Steelers trend of not getting new head coaches as they’ve had only 3 in the last 41 years. Chuck Noll, Bill Cowher, and Tomlin.
