NBA News: Houston Rockets Match Cavaliers Offer To Guard Kyle Lowry

News

The Cavs were hoping to get the young guard away from the Rockets, but the Rockets were able to hang on to him.

Kyle Lowry will sign a 3-year deal worth $24 million with an option for a 4th year. The Cas made the offer and the Rockets wasted no time in matching the offer.

Lowry averaged 9 points and 5 assists in a back-up role last season for the Rockets.

Luis Scala is the Rockets only remaining restricted free agent and Rockets GM Daryl Morey said he hoped to have Scala signed soon.
