Newsarama just posted the cover to the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly which shows off Ryan Reynolds decked out in his full CGI Green Lantern costume.
The Pulse: Is it just me, or does Reynolds look like he was skinned and his muscles dyed green? I’m trying not to be negative here, but he looks more like he belongs in a horror movie than a superhero space opera. The suit appears organic, and the green light gives the impression that it’s glistening, like some kind of parasitic organism has grafted itself to his body. I’m hoping that this isn’t the final look of the costume; that maybe the picture shows some kind of mid point in ring’s process of generating the suit. Or perhaps this is some kind of training uniform Jordan has to wear before he becomes a full-fledged Green Lantern.
But that’s just me. What do you think of the costume? Is this a good translation, or has Warner Bros. made a huge mistake?
