Everything started when Anelka was sent home after he insulted the coach.

Nicolas Anelka said the confrontation with coach Raymond Domenech would have happened whether he said something to him or not. Anelka called the situation “explosive.”

The Chelsea striker told France Soir that “everybody stuck together” when the players decided to boycott a training session shortly before their World Cup ended in the group stage.

The comments were a response to some old French players who said playrs from this years team who organized the strike should never play for the national team agin.
