In Batman #701, the two issue arc covering the events between Batman RIP and Final Crisis, Batman is severely spooked by Dr. Hurt, not having any real idea who he is, except that he probably isn’t Bruce’s own father. He is also taking the curse of the last time he wears his cowl quite seriously.
