E1 Entertainment will bring Suck, a rock-n-roll vampire musical, to DVD and Blu-ray in the Sates on September 28, following a one-night-only U.S. theatrical screening of the film.
A favorite of this past year’s South by Southwest Film Festival, Suck is the story of a struggling Canadian rock band called The Winners who, after an encounter with a vampire, find themselves transformed in soulless creatures of the night … who can really tear up a stage. Directed by Rob Stefaniuk, the film stars Jessica Pare, Malcom McDowell, Dave Foley and features cameos from Iggy Pop, Henry Rollins, Moby and Alice Cooper.
What works so well about the film is its infectious fun-loving attitude. The movie twists and turns through genres and styles like few other films — combining slapstick comedy, dark humor, animation and straight-up musical numbers to create a memorable experience that helps the film to stand out in the sea of bad vampire movies.
Special features or specs are not know at the time but rest assured, Suck is a movie you’ll want to check out this fall.
