NBA News: Los Angeles Clippers Working Out Tracy McGrady

News

Interest in the former superstar seems to be peaking.

McGrady was in LA Tuesday for a physical, and worked out for the team on Wednesday.

“The workout/visit went well,” Clippers GM Neil Olshey said. “Tracy will continue to explore his options as will we.”

The Clippers drafted Al-Farouq Aminu eighth overall last month and signed free agent Ryan Gomes, however the Clippers still have a noticeable hole in their starting lineup at small forward.

McGrady has been hampered by injuries recently, playing just 65 games the last three years. McGrady was traded to the New York Knicks last season where he scored 9 points a game and grabbed 4 rebounds. He said at the end of the year that he would work hard to recover from microfracture surgery, but if it didn’t feel right, he would retire.
