NHL News: New York Rangers Close To Signing Alexander Frolov

News

The Rangers are looking for help for Gaby, and Frolov would be a big help.

Frolov and the Rangers were close to a deal Monday night but haven’t come together on exact terms yet. Frolov made $4 million last year with a $2.9 million cap hit playing for the Los Angeles Kings.

Frolov scored 19 goals last year after he fell out of favor with Kings coach Terry Murray, Frolov scored 32 goals the season before.

The addition of Frolov would give the Rangers two dynamic scores on the front line with last offseason’s addition Marian Gaborik.
