Phil Baroni Out of UFC 118 With Collarbone Injury, Dan Miller Steps In

News

UFC Veteran Phil Baroni has been removed from his scheduled middleweight fight with John Salter at UFC 118 due to a collarbone injury. Sources close to the fight confirmed the news earlier today to MMAWeekly and now John Salter (5-1) will be looking for a replacement opponent when the UFC makes its debut in Boston on August 28th.

This fight follows Baroni’s return to the UFC after an exciting affair with Amir Sadollah at UFC 106 that ended with the latter’s hand raised via unanimous decision. Salter is coming off a win over Jason McDonald at UFC 113 in Montreal during which time he was awarded the win via TKO after McDonald suffered a gruesome broken ankle.
