The following news items were posted on the July 27th edition of the ROH Newswire:

ROH will return to Chicago on Saturday, October 16th. Tickets are already on sale and may be purchased here.

The opening round of Tag Wars 2010 wrapped up this past weekend. The updated brackets, which can also be seen here, are as follows:

– Block A Finals: Necro Butcher & Erick Stevens vs. The Briscoe Brothers
– Block B Finals: Colt Cabana & El Generico vs. The All-Night Express

The block finals will take place at the August 27th Richmond, VA show, with the block champions taking on the Kings of Wrestling in an Ultimate Endurance match for the ROH World Tag Team Titles the following night in Charlotte. ROH fans may now vote for the stipulations for each fall in the final match at ROHFansVoice@gmail.com.

The following wrestlers have been announced for the August 20th and 21st set of ROH on HDNet tapings in South Philadelphia: Tyler Black, Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli, Eddie Edwards, Davey Richards, Christopher Daniels, the Super Smash Brothers, and El Generico. Tickets may be purchased here.

ROH claims to be “close to making a major announcement for ‘Glory By Honor IX’.” More details on this as they become available. Click here to purchase show tickets and here to order the iPPV.

Yesterday, Pulse Glazer reported injuries to ROH “stars” Grizzly Redwood and Mike Sydal. Redwood is not expected to miss any time, and the results of Sydal’s CAT scan revealed no abnormalities.

The following news item is a spoiler of a storyline to come, so stop reading if you want to be surprised . . . whenever the most recently recorded set of TV tapings begins to air (I will say, kudos to my reader Omega for calling this):

The American Wolves find themselves in an interesting situation. Eddie Edwards is the World Television champion, allegedly struggling to find appropriate challengers for the title. Davey Richards is just off a World Title loss in a classic to Tyler Black. Now they seem to have dismissed long-time manager Shane Hagadorn. After the Wolves suffered a loss to Colt Cabana and El Generico last Saturday night in Chicago, Hagadorn approached Richards and Edwards as they came back down the aisle following the bout. What happened next is surely something the Hagadorn hopes he soon forgets. Richards unleashed on Hagadorn a swift and decisive assault, leaving Hagadorn down in the aisle with Edwards repeatedly telling him that “it isn’t the right time”. Notably absent from the altercation were Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli, who went on to beat Generation Me in the next bout. “It isn’t my place to comment on what’s going on there,” Hero told ROHWrestling.com. “It’s my job to concentrate on the World Tag Team Titles and being the best Tag Team on Earth. Everything else is a non-priority.” More on this as it develops.
