McClain was the 8th overall pick in the NFL draft and agreed to a contract the night before training camp started. Terms of the deal were not announced.
McClain is one of the many changes on the defensive side of the ball for the Raiders who are looking to be much better on that side of the ball this year. They traded away Kirk Morrison; brought in John Henderson and Kamerion Wimbley; and drafted McClain and Lamarr Houston to try and turn around the run defense.
