News from the set of Green Lantern says that several streets in New Orleans are being closed down to make room for an Earth-based scene involving the yellow fear demon Parallax, as well as Krona. And that’s cool to me, I know who Krona is.
What? You don’t know who he is? Well, here’s the brief version. Krona is an Oan, yes, the race that would become the Guardians of the Universe. He was also a scientist who broke the cardinal rule of the universe and time travel; never witness the birth of the universe. Doing this actually created DC’s multiverse (as well as the Monitor and Anti-Monitor in the process), and as punishment Krona was turned into pure energy and sent out into the universe for all eternity. This was the catalyst for the creation of the Guardians of the Universe.
So that means we’re getting some Oan and Green Lantern lore in the movie, and that’s just awesome.
