There are reports that UFC 123 will be taking place from Chicago’s United Center on November 20th, with dominate light heavyweight prospect Jon Jones expected to face The Ultimate Fighter winner Forrest Griffin. Jones has been on absolute tear in the UFC manhandling veterans such as Brandon Vera, Stephen Bonnar and Jake O’Brien. With a 12-1 career record his only defeat was a result of a disqualification after throwing an illegal 12-6 elbow in his match against Matt Hamill. Forrest Griffin has been away from the Octagon ever since defeating Tito Ortiz last November at UFC 106, with his match at UFC 114 against Antônio Rogério Nogueira being cancelled due to Griffin suffering a shoulder injury. The other fight expected for the show is Quinton Jackson vs. Lyoto Machida.
