Behind the scenes work isn’t always the most glamorous stuff to see for a movie fan because then it sometimes takes the magic out of the fantasy world.

We get to see wires and microphones and green screens and stunt men. Once you put it into that perspective, then all doesn’t really seem like so much fun or exciting.

And then you get the occasional backstage work that ends up being really cool and overly enjoyable. For something such as this, check out the videos below.

That’s where you’ll behind the scenes footage from Michael Bay’s next big hit, Transformers 3. As you may be able to tell, there is going to be a lot of gunfire, explosions, and special effects. Not that that’s new to anyone who has seen any Bay film before.

Shia LaBeouf returns as Sam Witwicky to help the Autobots led by Optimus Prime (voiced by Peter Cullen) battle the Megatron (voiced by Hugo Weaving) driven Decepticons. We don’t know much else about the plot, but this movie is said to be a darker look into the Transformers’ past.

Supposedly, we also will be getting a look at Unicron which if done right, will be phenomenal.

The film hits theatres July 1, 2011 which is right during one of the biggest movie release summers ever.
