Julio Cesar Chavez Jr has pulled out of his September 11 fight with Pawel Wolak, according to a report from Fightnews.com.
Top Rank, Chavez’s promoter, cited family issues as the reason for the cancellation. Chavez Jr has not been in the gym due to these family issues and Top Rank felt he wouldn’t get adequate training time to prepare for the fight that was less than a month away.
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr also was negotiating his next fight, rumored to be against Miguel Cotto on December 4. A Chavez Jr-Wolak fight will not be rescheduled and it appears that Miguel Cotto, on December 4, will be the next fight for Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
