Geoff Johns: 2010's Wonder Woman new costume change as monumental as 1992's Death of Superman

News, Top Story

Geoff Johns as compared the recent costume change for Wonder Woman as important and impactful as Death of Superman to the fans. He rationalizes this by citing the same ignited passion in fandom for both events.

He also indicates that this interest “is a great signal to Warner Bros” of the importance of the character, a stromg female character at that.

I get what Johns means, and having been around when Death of Superman hit shelves, I do see the similarities in the ignited passionate among fans for character they care about (but, in reality didn’t read, until perhaps now again).
