NFL News: New York Giants Sign Guard Shawn Andrews

Andrews is a former Philadelphia Eagles and now joins the G-Men.

Andrews was a depth signing for the Giants who have been dealing with injuries on the O-Line. Starting guard Chris Snee has missed several practices with a knee injury. The Giants’ other starting guard, Rich Seubert, missed some time earlier in camp with a broken hand but has since returned to practice.

Andrews, was Philadelphia’s first-round pick in 2004 and made the Pro Bowl in 2006 and ’07 and the Giants feel he can play both guard positions as well as tackle giving them great versatility.

The Giants waived offensive lineman Cliff Louis to clear room on the roster.
