UFC planning to hold PPV on New Year’s Eve

Dave Meltzer on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio is reporting that the UFC is planning to run its traditional New Year  Pay Per View on New’s Year Eve in an attempt to avoid College Football on New Year’s Day. If this were to happen it would mark the UFC’s return to Friday nights, which at one point was its preferred night on pay per view. As reported earlier it is hoped that the event will be headlined by Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen II for the World Middleweight Title.
