The Devils have reportedly submitted a second deal to the league for approval.

The Devils and Kovalchuck agreed to a 17-year deal earlier in the offseason that was rejected by the league, the latest contract is reportedly a 15-year $100 million contract that the league is expected to ok.

Kovalchuk, with 338 goals and 304 assists in 642 career games, was one of the summer’s top prizes.
