10 Thoughts On Superstars 09.02.2010 — feat Ted Dibiase, Kofi Kingston, Goldust

Reviews, Shows, TV Shows

1. I like how Maryse was once the front-runner for the Raw Divas, and now just sticks to Ted’s side. Just as well. She was just awful in the ring.

2. “My chef makes the best breakfast.” That’s what Jerry Lawler said he would use as a pickup line for Maryse. Jerry needs to keep it in his pants, verbally.

3. Neckbreakers, uppercuts, scoop-slams, oh my! The match between Goldust and Ted Dibiase Jr was better than most Raw mid-card matches have been.

4. I’m glad they recapped Kaval’s win, because it will be the last exciting thing you’ll ever see on NXT from here on out…

5. Santino really is genuinely funny. He makes matches entertaining in a way that doesn’t deplete your brain cells…something that has been missing on Raw for quite some time.

6. Jey should have been the one to wrestle in this match. Jimmy is extremely spastic, and his communication with Santino seems off, as most of his moves are a little awkward. He definitely needs some work.

7. Tamina and Santino could be the next power couple in the WWE. Like Romeo and Juliet, Bonnie and Clyde, Cory and Topanga…

8. The WWE went to China? Huh. I was unaware…

9. I’m surprised Kofi remembers how to wrestle anyone besides Dolph. At least we can safely assume there won’t be ANOTHER Intercontinental Championship rematch tomorrow night.

10. This main event was excellent. We got to see a darker side of Kofi, a more talented side of Chavo, and neither men relied on their high-flying antics to entertain the crowd. They still put on a damn good show as they dug for something else in their arsenal.
