Leftwich was expected to start in Ben Roethlisberger’s place.
Leftwich was knocked off his feet early in the second quarter and was examined by the teams training staff on the sideline. After being checked out he limped to a tunnel that leads to the locker room.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting that Leftwich was taken to an area hospital for an MRI.
Dennis Dixon replaced Leftwich and would start for the Steelers if Leftwich can’t go during the regular season.
