NFL News: Darrelle Revis Agrees To Contract With New York Jets

News

After 7 long months, Revis has agreed to a contract with the Jets.

Revis will sign a four-year contract according to GM Mike Tannenbaum. He declined to discuss the amount, but sources said it’s a $46 million deal, including $32 million in various guarantees. Under his old contract, Revis was due to make $21 million over the next three years, all of which was guaranteed until he didn’t show up for training camp.

“I’m coming home baby!!! Revis Island. Let’s Go,” said Revis on Twitter shortly after midnight.

Over the weekend, Jets Head Coach Rex Ryan flew down to talk to Revis over the weekend and that proved to be the catalyst to getting the deal done.
