It looks like the fan site for actress Rooney Mara (RooneyMara.net) has posted several photos of her in character as Lisbeth Salander on the set of David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Also starring Daniel Craig, Stellan Skarsgard, Robin Wright and Max von Sydow, the U.S. adaptation of Stieg Larsson’s book is scheduled for a December 21, 2011 release.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is the first book in Larsson’s “Millennium Trilogy” and involves the mystery surrounding the long-unsolved disappearance of an heiress. Craig plays disgraced journalist Mikael Mikael Blomkvist who works with a young female hacker (Salander) in trying to resolve it. Along the way, they uncover a wealth of industrial corruption as well as come too close to a serial killer.
